Blair

| Sr. Doe (female) | F7; blue eyes

Blair is a stunning doe with a great personality! Conformation: Blair has an attractive framework that showcases her femininity. She is slightly taller at withers than at the hips but I do wish she had a more defined brisket. “Back and Rump—strong and straight with well defined vertebrae throughout and slightly uphill to withers; level chine with full crops into a straight, wide loin; wide hips smoothly set and level with back; strong rump which is uniformly wide and nearly level from hips to pinbones and thurl to thurl; thurls set two-thirds of the distance from hips to pinbones; well defined and wide pinbones set slightly lower than the hips; tailhead slightly above and smoothly set between pinbones; tail ymmetrical to body and free from coarseness; vulva should be normal in size and shape in females (normal sheath and testes in males)

Naming Background

Aslyn loves anime and many of our herd is named after characters from a show called "My Hero Academia". Mirio is said to be a tall young man with a very muscular build who possesses an extremely goofy and very energetic personality. Mirio is known for his odd sense of humor. His jokes range from corny to puerile, occasionally making a fool of himself for the sake of others' enjoyment. Mirio does not allow his laid-back nature to cloud his judgment or impede his dreams of becoming a hero. He has proven to be an extremely hard worker, turning a near-unmasterable ability into one of the world's most powerful Quirks. Mirio is constantly looking for ways to improve his skills and tries to work toward his goals by accumulating different experiences to learn from them. We thought that this guy possessed many of these attributes and were great traits to have in a buck as well so it came to be! Mirio Togata

Naming Background

Aslyn is obsessed with the TV show "How To Train A Dragon" and many of our LaManchas are named after characters from this show. Viggo is no exception to this rule. Meet Viggo

Naming Background

Princess (later Queen) Aurora, or Sleeping Beauty is the only daughter and only child of the deceased King Stefan and Queen Leila, and the "goddaughter" of the fairy Maleficent. During her Christening, Aurora was cursed by Maleficent, and according to the curse, Aurora's unfortunate destiny was to fall into a sleep-like death on her sixteenth birthday after pricking her finger on the spindle of a spinning wheel. The Pixies were entrusted to raise her until her sixteenth birthday. Over the years, Maleficent carefully watched over Aurora, as the pixies were incapable of raising a child and struggling to live their lives as human women. In our herd Maleficent had these cool markings as a baby that reminded me of the movie character and it just made sense to name her twin Aurora even though her character was depicted as being fair skinned and blonde hair. The pair just seemed to fit for us here. Aurora

Naming Background

We all know the story of Maleficent and we needed to retain as many daughter's out of Cee Cee as possible to help her earn her milk star. In 2022 Cee Cee gave us beautiful doe twins! One reminded me of "Aurora" so it only seemed natural to name her sister after Sleeping Beauty's nemesis. The plot of the story told as
"A vengeful fairy is driven to curse an infant princess, only to discover that the child may be the one person who can restore peace to their troubled land."

This guy has quite the story. In 2022 I sought out a few farms looking for a new bucklings. I needed to bring in some new genetics so I reached out to a friend of mine (Katy Vincent - Prairie Ridge Dairy Goats) to ask for recommendations. Katy gave me several farms to look at and after researching, I landed on two. Tule Creek and M's Sagebrush. I reached out to both (not realizing that they were good friends and similar styles) and received communication from Tule Creek first. Being the impulsive person I am (a GREAT trait in this scenario), I put down my deposit and started making arrangements. A few days later Marshall (M's Sagebrush) reached out to me after seeing a post I had that was offering Here Be Goats KV Maycee to go back to her original breeder. Kelley Hines (Here Be Goats) was having a tough year and Marshall offered to gift me a buckling in return for me gifting Maycee to Kelley. If you know me, you KNOW that I love a good story stitched with love so I gladly accepted. I started making arrangements with him for pick up and he was also offering ANOTHER local friend of mine (South Fork LaManchas) as a birthday present one of his doelings. I reached out to Marilou and Richie of South Fork LaManchas to see if they wanted to split gas with me and the rest was history! One weekend I made a trip to Winslow, Arizona to visit Marshall and Trudy and I loved my buckling so much I also asked if I could bring home a doe kids as well and the very next weekend I visited Hallam, NE and met Lee & Carey Bartram (who had no available doe kids when I asked them as well) to bring home the other amazing buckling. Both places I found new friends and great animals! I am so fortunate to have these animals in my herd and to have gained two new friends!

VooDoo comes from a great pairing. Her dam (Moxie) has her milk star with both TMGR and MDGA, she did very well in the show ring at MHMM's 2019 show where she earned a GCH (x1), RCH (x1), and Best Udder in Show (x1). (MHMM website) Her sire comes from a breeder that I really believe in and who did very well in the show ring as well. He attended the MDGA Wine Country Classic 2013 At which, he won 2 Grand Champion ribbons and 1 reserve Champion as well as 1x Grand Champion Junior Buck and 1x Reserve Champion Junior Buck in the MDGA Summer 2013 V-show. (see his complete show history at BCF Legacy's website)

"Manny" came here as a buckling in 2020 along with his dam and littermate. His dam was suffering from what her owner suspected as acidosis so we knew her production numbers would not be to her full potential that year. Taking into consideration those factors, I don't think she did too bad! Feel free to check out her most up to date info by viewing her page! Manny's Dam Manny's Dam
